Phaseform GmbH was founded as the official spin-off of the EXIST transfer of research project to commercialize development work in the field of optofluidic adaptive optics. The technology has been developed at the Gisela and Erwin Sick Laboratory for Micro-optics at the Microsystems Engineering department (IMTEK) of the University of Freiburg in Germany over the last 6 years.
